St. Anthony Catholic School is pleased to announce a new principal. Tracy Hamner comes to St. Anthony Catholic School after spending two years as Assistant Principal at St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School in Richmond, Virginia. While at St. Edward-Epiphany, some of Mr. Hamner's responsibilities included admissions, scheduling, technology and student discipline. During his tenure, the school underwent a 2.4 million dollar building project, a complete technology upgrade and saw a rise in student enrollment. Before becoming an Assistant Principal, Mr. Hamner was an English teacher and Head Men's Basketball Coach at James River High School in Midlothian, Virginia.
Mr. Hamner graduated from the University of Richmond in 2002 with a degree in English and a Minor in Education. He spent time as a college basketball coach at West Virginia University, where he earned his Masters degree, and the University of Michigan. He is married to A'Leigh Spensieri Hamner and they have three children, Taylor(6) , Molly(4) and Sean(1).
St. Anthony Catholic School is proud to announce that the top two students in the West Florence High School graduation class of 2015 are both graduates of St. Anthony School. Anna Kooper and Amanda Spence both attended St. Anthony from 4K through 8th grade. They credit the teachers at St. Anthony for giving them a great foundation of knowledge and teaching them excellent study skills. Way to go girls - you make St. Anthony proud!
