Volunteering Whether you volunteer several hours a week or just 1-2 hours all year, volunteers are critical to the success of St. Anthony Catholic School. Without volunteers, we would not be able to plan and execute all of the events scheduled throughout the school year. There are many ways you can make a difference. There are opportunities for everyone. It's a great way to get know the students, teachers and other parents. If you haven't already done so, please take the time to print and fill out the Volunteer Sign Up Sheet. It's never too late to volunteer your services. There are opportunities that fit every schedule. Some areas where help is always needed: Car Line - between 7:30 and 8:00am, help ease the flow of traffic during morning drop off by assisting younger students out of their cars. Halloween Carnival - held on Friday, October 26th, this event requires help throughout the day. Usually coordinated through the PTO Home Room Parents, extra volunteers are always welcomed and appreciated. Providing baked goods throughout the year during various events. Teacher Appreciation - Throughout the year, we honor teachers and staff. There are many different ways to help. School Clubs - Students look forward to the their after school clubs. Without volunteers, the clubs would not exist. We need volunteers to help run the clubs. Currently, we offer Garden Club, Science Club, Arts & Crafts Club and Etiquette Club. Lunch Room - Help is always welcomed during our 3 lunch periods. Two years ago, the Diocese of Charleston instituted a Virtus "Protecting God's Children" training program to create a safe environment for the children within our parish, school and community. All volunteers must complete this training program. If you have not, the next session will be held at St. Anthony Parish during the 2nd week of September. The class is free and lasts just a few hours. If you want to volunteer, please attend this class.
