Preparing For Easter Reminders and Dates

ABSTINENCE: All Catholics 14 years old and older
are bound to the obligation of abstinence. Abstinence is
to be observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and all
the Fridays of Lent. Meat may not be used at all on
these days.
FAST: Catholics 18 years old and up to the beginning
of the 60th year are bound to the obligation of fasting.
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting.
Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain
strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs;
together they should not equal another full meal. Eating
between meals is not permitted, but liquids, including
milk and juice are allowed.
HOLY COMMUNION: All Catholics who have made
their First Holy Communion are bound to receive Holy
Communion during the Easter time. Easter Time is from
the first Sunday of Lent until Pentecost Sunday.

2:30 pm when school is in session (3/6; 3/13; 3/20)
6:30 pm in English
7:30 pm in Spanish
LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE
Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 pm
FRIDAY FISH FRY: 4:30 -7:00 pm
A meal of fried or baked fish is served with clam chowder,
hush puppies, cole slaw, fries, and a beverage. Desserts
are extra. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children.
